How did Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. go from pop-culture behemoth to scrappy underdog?

This entry covers Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., which has run for five seasons and 11o episodes from 2013 to now, premiering five years ago on September 24, 2013. A shortened 13-episode sixth season is set to begin airing summer 2019.

That first season was painful and they really should have integrated the Hydra thing much better than they ultimately did. That being said, the last two seasons of this show have been among the best comic books television I’ve ever seen.
