I picked this series up because of the amazing interlocking variant covers showing all the main costumes that DD has had over the last few decades, but ended up enjoying the story as well. It’s set after DD comes back from the dead (again?) only to be hit by a bus, which physically wrecks him. This is the story of his eventual physical recovery, and apparently psychological recovery as well.

  • A ship docks in Los Angeles harbor from a far-off and exotic locale -with a big, mysterious, and living cargo! Danger and mayhem abound as ourhero leaps into the fray! Plus, we introduce a lovely new character who will bevying against Betty for Cliff’s affections!

This is one of the better long form Rocketeer stories I’ve had the pleasure of reading, I particularly liked the bad guy, he felt real enough to be believable.

In 1962’s Amazing Fantasy #15, fifteen-year-old Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider and became the Amazing Spider-Man! 57 years have passed in the real world since that event – so what would have happened if the same amount of time passed for Peter as well? To celebrate Marvel’s 80th anniversary, Chip Zdarsky and Spider-Man legend Mark Bagley unite to spin a unique Spidey tale – telling an entire history of Spider-Man from beginning to end, set against the key events of the decades through which he lived! Prepare to watch Peter Parker age through 57 years of groundbreaking history – and find out what happens to him, and those he loves the most! Collecting: Spider-Man: Life Story 1-6

Highly entertaining, I feel like there’s about 20 other mini series that could be made by the space between the issues of this series. It was fun to see familiar storylines all merged together to tell the story of the one true Spider-man over 60 years of his life.
