A must-have for fans of intrigue and tales of survival, this comics series is the perfect introduction to the post-pandemic world of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, the sequel to Ubisoft’s record-breaking videogame Tom Clancy’s The Division. Division agents Caleb Dunne and Heather Ward have hunted the woman known as Mantis all the way from New York to Maryland. Enlisting the help of agent Brian Johnson, they take the fight to her but find themselves at the heart of a much larger scheme than they had anticipated. One that leads them toward Washington D.C.

Prequel to The Division 2, which is exactly like The Division 1, so if you enjoyed the first one like I did, you’ll enjoy the second one. The story in the comic book here is in parallel to the opening scene of Division 2, but I don’t think the characters from the comic story show up in the game.

It’s a good book though, so if you want more Division in your life, this is one way to get it.

For years the heroes of the Marvel Universe have lived in fear that the Avengers’ greatest mistake and deadliest foe, the artificial intelligence known as Ultron, would one day fulfill its desire to eradicate all organic life and dominate the Earth – that day has arrived!

A fun time traveling story with murder, self murder, killing your past self in the future, then killing furture self in the past when you travel to the savage land.

it’s a great story till the time travel starts, then it get wonky, but still a great story to read.

During the fallout of Civil War II, Ms. Marvel, Nova and Spider-Man quit the Avengers and strike out on their own! With Viv Vision and the Totally Awesome Hulk by their side, these young heroes are determined to change the world their own way! It starts as an idea. It becomes an ideal. But what happens when it turns into a movement one so big even the Hulk can’t stop it? And will one of the greatest X-Men of all forge a new future by their side? Welcome to the Champions, Cyclops! Unfortunately, not all of your new would-be teammates are glad to see you! COLLECTING: CHAMPIONS 1-5.

Not just vol 1, but I read the entire run.

The art was pretty solid throughout, but the story was a mess, with nearly every issue ping ponging around to the middle of events happening in other series. In fact, I think all the major character development happened in the main line spider-man or avengers books, or even the universe wide cross over mini series.

I suggest completely skipping the collection of this run. From my understanding the next run that started publishing in 2019 stays on track much better.

Mutants are the future, and the future begins now! Superstar writer Jonathan Hickman (Infinity, Secret Wars) takes the reigns of the X-Men universe with artists Pepe Larraz and RB Silva to change the way you look at every X-Men story. House of X and Powers of X intertwine to reveal the secret past, present, future, and far future of Mutantkind! It all starts when Charles Xavier reveals his new masterplan for Mutantkind, one that will bring mutants out of the shadow of humanity and into the light. Collecting: Powers of X 1-6, House of X 1-6

A well written story with art that impressed, I’m sad to see this is just yet another entry in the ongoing mythos and not a self contained storyline, there’s a lot of threads here that I’d be interested in seeing what their logical conclusion would be, and not what their ‘ongoing so we’re never going to actually resolve it’ storylines are going to end up being.

Legion, the most powerful and unstable mutant in the world, and son to Professor Charles Xavier, has killed gods and reshaped the face of the universe. In the aftermath of Avengers vs. X-Men, Legion will finally attempt to conquer his demons…and embrace his father’s legacy! Collecting: X-Men Legacy (2012) 1-6

An amazing start to a series that quickly lost me, I loved the first dozen issues, but they seemed to never figure out where they were going with the story.

Luckily I picked these up in a 3/$1 bin, so not much was lost.

The Batman director Matt Reeves has just unveiled a few pictures of Robert Pattinson’s Batmobile… and it has a bit of the look of an oldschool muscle car? It kind of looks like a modified Dodge Challenger. Check it out: [Source: Matt Reeves on Twitter]
